Maykolízate's short film:
Are you thinking about buying PS5? Do you know when it's going to be released? Don't worry, you will get it as soon as possible, don't be an asshole like this guy! Stop bothering others!
The whole puzzle is now in place. The PlayStation 5 has a definite shape in our minds. Several months after Microsoft had already revealed virtually everything about its Xbox X series, Sony took advantage of an online conference broadcast on June 11, 2020 to announce the PS5 games, but also their long-awaited design. In this archive, we review all the information about the console.
Processor, GPU, SSD storage, load time, backward compatibility, we tell you everything about the PlayStation 5, which will be a physical console despite the rumors of the last years announcing a 100% dematerialized version like Google Stadia. But there was a bit of truth in this story as a second version, the PS5 Digital Edition, has no physical player.
PlayStation 5: release date
Sony has announced the approximate launch date of the PS5, which will be launched at the end of 2020. We don't know more at the moment, but you can be sure you'll be able to get the console in time for Christmas.
PlayStation 5 pricing
Sony has revealed everything about the PS5 except its price, but the company has promised further conferences in the coming weeks. In the meantime, Carrefour may have revealed the price of the console before the hour. The supermarket published pre-order pages for the PS5 before removing them later. Too late, the screenshots had already been taken by the Internet users.
This publication tells us that the santard PS5 would sell for 499 euros and the one without a hard drive, the Digital Edition, would be offered 100 euros cheaper, at 399 euros. Is this a mistake or a real blunder by Carrefour, which revealed that they dropped the prices before the official announcement? It's hard to say, but this information is perfectly in line with previous leaks about the price of the PS5.
For the record, the PlayStation 3 has been the most expensive console offered by the company to date with a price of 499 euros for the 20GB model and 599 euros for the 60GB of storage. The PS4 was released 7 years later and much cheaper, at a price of 399 euros. The PS3 was so expensive simply because it was equipped with fresh and therefore expensive technology. At that time, Blu-Ray was making its debut, for example.
The increase of around 100 euros in the price of the standard PS5 will be justified by the choice of the most advanced technology, a real added value for players. This is the case with ultra-fast SSD storage. Although flash memory prices have fallen in recent years, this technology is still expensive.
PlayStation 5: technical details
Sony has already revealed the technical specifications of the PS5, and the company has decided to continue its partnership with AMD, which will provide both the processor and the GPU for the console, all in one powerful APU. The graphics chip is based on the RDNA 2 architecture, the latest from the Santa Clara foundry.
10.28 GPU TFLOPS and Lightning Tracking Support
The new AMD RDNA 2 GPU on the PS5 features the latest advances in graphics technology. In particular, the console will be able to take advantage of ray tracing for ultra-realistic simulation of light and shadow effects. The chip has 36 computing units and is synchronized at 2.23 GHz. It will be able to offer a gross calculation power of 10.28 TFLOPs compared to the 12 TFLOPs of the Xbox X Series.

At the processor level, the PS5 will also feature AMD's third generation Ryzen CPUs with Zen 2 architecture and 7nm burn-in. The 8-core processor is synchronized at 3.5 GHz (variable frequency). The APU is supported by 16GB of GDDR6 RAM with a bandwidth of 448GB/sec.
